Early in his career, Matt honed his skills in product development and marketing, working with organizations like Rawlings Sporting Goods, The Coleman Company & professional sports leagues. In these roles Matt traveled Asia extensively, pitched new products to the world’s largest retail buyers, and developed new processes that helped his team focus, execute and grow.
More recently, Matthew turned his attention to corporate strategy development & facilitation, Voice Of the Customer study (VOC), and Root Cause/Countermeasure (Policy Deployment) programs, receiving in-depth formal training and executing real world plans. Equipped with these tools and training, Matt developed sharp planning and execution skills, leading teams to enhanced productivity and results.
While working full time in the corporate world, Matt burned enough midnight oil to become fluent in several web development languages and has worked on scores of projects from startup websites to large scale development projects with established corporations.
In his fifth year with VIP, Matt has taken on an operational leadership role in addition to day to day development responsibilities. As Director of Operations, Matt is equally responsible for day to day team management and operational excellence, keeping the client experience top of mind.
